It’s never too late to begin your journey to a healthy lifestyle. To me a healthy lifestyle is the combination of many things, including exercise, nutrition, motivation and mental health. For others it may be different, but that is what I focus on. Getting started can be overwhelming. Here are some tips to help you start.

  • Get organized – pull out your calendar and plan your workouts. When you schedule time to exercise studies show you are more likely to do it. Be realistic, our lives are busy, so you may need to be flexible.
  • Pull out some of those healthy recipes you’ve been stashing. Check out Pinterest, I’ve found great recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
  • Get yourself some new workout gear. Depending on your activity level you need to replace your workout shoes every 3-6 months.
  • Get inspired with some personal training sessions. Sometimes we just need some new ideas of what to do in the gym or at home. Have you hit a plateau? A new workout is what you may need.
