1) Make fitness a priority. The parties and family gatherings are a given, as well as the delicious holiday appetizers, entrees, desserts andSanta snowman lifting dumbells drinks. It’s hard not to taste all that delicious food, so make sure you get your workout in everyday to balance those extra calories. Quick bursts of exercise will save you valuable time instead of heading to the gym.

2) Keep with the 80/ 20 rule. 80% of the time healthy eating and 20% enjoy those parties.

3) Don’t go to a party hungry. Eat a healthy light meal and drink a full glass of water before you head out the door.

4) If the host requests you to bring something to the party, make it healthy. That way there is definitely a healthy option for you to choose from at the buffet table.

5) Tell yourself you can do it! Sometimes I think we give ourselves the excuse that it’s holiday time, therefore we give up our exercise programs and eating healthy. Schedule exercise into your day. PUT IT ON THE CALENDAR.

6) Plan, plan, plan….your meals, snacks, exercise, and holiday shopping. An organized life is a healthy life.
